Having traveled to more than 50 museum destinations around the world over the last 20 years, and been seen by millions of visitors, a magic portal into the worlds of ancient civilization and prehistoric life has now come home to Cathedral City.

The Museum of Ancient Wonders offers a rare opportunity to visit more than 30 national and international museum collections, all under one roof. With replicated archaeological treasures from Egypt, Africa and Greece, along with scientifically produced laboratory cast specimens of important paleontological discoveries, these diverse collections are on public display exclusively for residents and tourists of the Coachella Valley.

For the Valley, whose main museum interests are modernism and contemporary art, the Museum of Ancient Wonders establishes museum diversity while enhancing curriculum development for local and surrounding school districts, colleges and universities.

The founders of the Museum of Ancient Wonders have ambitious plans to secure a 40,000 sq ft. building specifically designed to permanently house more than 400 artifact and fossil displays, with expansion for future acquisitions. Included is a world-class gift shop and restaurant along with a traveling exhibition hall to temporarily install exhibitions from the Smithsonian Institute, National Geographic and many other accredited exhibition companies from around the world.
